I'm an experienced artist and illustrator fully capable of meeting rigorous deadlines. I'm proficient in a wide range of mediums and styles. If you haven't, please take a look at the gallery pages. I only post a small portion of the work I do, so if there's something specific you'd like an example of, please let me know. I'm accepting freelance work for illustrations, covers, portraits, and concept art Illustration/Concept Art If you're looking for an artist for a project and like what you see in the gallery pages, please contact me at leversandpulleys@yahoo.com Portrait/Commission work I like to make the process of purchasing a commissioned work as easy and painless as possible. If this is the first time you've purchased something like this, don't worry, it's easier than you might think! First, contact me and we can discuss the specifics. For portraits, paintings of a home, boat, and other such commissions of a specific subject, I can work from photos, but we'll usually need more than one and proper lighting can be crucial. If you're in the local area I am available to take the reference photography (I prefer this method when doing local portraits). Please feel free to email high quality scans of the subject(s). If a commission is accepted, I request 25% of the total cost up front to cover materials and time (this does not include the special offer charcoals). Payment can be made via mailed check or Paypal (preferred method that provides built-in buyer protection and convenience). Deadlines should be discussed in advance. Once work begins, updates are sent often -- communication is crucial for mutual satisfaction. When you're happy with the photos of the finished work the remainder is paid and the work is sent or delivered promptly. I've safely shipped paintings and drawings all across the country without problems (even pastels). All materials, including paints, canvases, and papers, are of the absolute highest quality. Properly cared for, all of my work is built to last. I approach each project as a professional, and I'm certain you'll be pleased with the product. All prices are for unframed works. Prices vary depending on Size, Medium, Style, and Subject. In general, larger more realistic works with multiple subjects cost more. How much more, is something we can discuss via email or phone. Here are some examples that can be used to get an idea of base prices: |
