~ by Craig Houghton - December 10, 2007 ~
Note: The following post was passed along to me by a concerned resident. Bear in mind that it took only days to assemble the other petition, the more recent one with with 595 signatures opposing the plan. Read all about it here.

A review of the latest 150 signatures on the “FOR THE MALL” petition, filed on November 26, found some signatures of people who are possibly relatives of the following families. Paul Bowman, Douglas Calcagni and Frank DiNatali, are purported owners of the 107 acre site of the proposed mall and 146 condos. Also, the signatures of the realtors of the Cheshire Calcagni office and the people living at their address were reviewed. Another 14 signatures appear to be signed by someone other than the person shown, most likely a member of a household signing for other members.
Click to download the petition in question or click here to view the list of Calcagni realtors based in Cheshire.
The results are;
B BOWMAN 11
C CALCAGNI 5
D DINATALI 6
CR CALCAGNI REALTOR 18
FALSE SIGNATURES 14 (someone else signing)
TOTAL OUT OF 150 SIGNATURES 54
