How it works

We talk. For weddings and events we will schedule a no obligation initial consultation to discuss the particulars. We will be happy to come to your home or meet somewhere nearby over coffee. For shorter sessions we may only need to speak through email or over the phone.

You decide. We will leave you with a folder containing everything you need to know and all the required paperwork. If you are interested, send back the contract along with the required deposit to book the day. Full payment is not required until two weeks before the event.

We shoot. While we do offer optional film coverage, we usually shoot using professional digital SLRs. You still receive the 'negatives' in the form of the untouched full-resolution files on CD-R or DVD-R. Film has a unique look, but so do our digital images! We love on location work and have all the portable lighting (backgrounds too) we need to set up a shoot anywhere at anytime. We love challenges.

You print. Film or digital, you are left with everything you need to make prints at your convenience. You can take the CD to Costco, CVS, or an online service and make professional quality prints, without paying us anything extra, ever. Why pay hundreds for a print or a photo-book when you can order it yourself?

Our prices

Whether you need 8 hours of wedding coverage or 30 minutes of on-location portrait work, our affordable hourly rate stays the same. It's 120$ per hour of shoot time. You don't pay extra for the behind-the-scenes time we spend preparing your photos, only the time you spend in front of the camera. For example:

30 minute family portrait with print-ready images on CD/DVD $60 delivered.

60 minute senior session with print-ready images on CD/DVD $120 delivered.

8 hour wedding with print-ready images on CD/DVD $960 delivered.

$120 per hour of shoot time Includes:
FULL resolution files on CD-R or DVD-R for printing and sharing
Release form granting you the right to make prints
Travel to first location is included
Unlimited poses, outfits, or ideas
No extra charges for additional participants
All delivered images are individually touched-up, adjusted, and balanced

Prefer film? If requested, we will shoot in high-quality professional 35mm (or medium format) color or black and white film. We hand over the negatives as well as 6 megapixel scans on CD or DVD. We do all touch-ups/post-processing on those print-ready 6 megapixel scans. Prints up to 11x14 will look wonderful from the scans. You may prefer to stick to the negatives for anything larger than that. Cost per roll shot (for the film, developing, and scanning) for film coverage is as follows (these are essentially at-cost):

Professional color film $15 per 36 exp. roll
